Hats Off…
…and coat, skirt, blouse, bra and knickers too, to the naked ramblers, Steve Gough and Melanie Roberts, who have just walked from Land’s End, the most southerly tip of the UK mainland, to John O’Groats, the most northerly.
I’ve always harboured a secret desire to hike naked about the British Isles, or anywhere, really. But that’s not really news to anyone who knows me well enough. I’m tempted to replicate Mr Gough’s endeavour in the US, but I think I’d probably get shot as many times as he was arrested.

Americans will let the English do anything, except run their country for them, so you should be fairly safe.

A couple of the girls at Mishka’s have been known to run about starkers. I should ask them if they fancy a nice long hike.

Radio 4 (aka The Bible) did a piece on these two. They, in a rather Radio 4ish type way, implied it was all a bit Satre/de Beauvoir and Mr. Naked was rather mean to Mrs. Naked and kept trying to bring lots of Ms. Nakeds along to supplement his diet.
Courtney will be terrifying if you start taking tips.
Although I think I could enjoy watching from a distance (the Courtney volcano rather than the nakedness - I’ve seen all I need to!).

Strictly speaking, Land’s End is not the most southerly point on the UK mainland, nor is John O’Groats the most northerly (Land’s End is, however, the most westerly point). However, in both cases the actual extremities (Lizard Point and Dunnet Head) are just down the road, and in any case it’s still a bloody long way!
